In Corrales (The village I grew up in) we have a real problem with people passing cars on the right (should read as shoulder) when cars are waiting to turn left onto a road from Corrales Road. So, my dad and I were coming back from getting parts for my car. When we got to our road my dad waited to turn, because a cop was coming, and he did not want to cut off one of our cops. So then all of a sudden, this big red truck goes around us on the right. The on coming cop stops, turns on his lights, waits for the truck to pass, and pulls a u turn to nail him. My dad and I laughed our asses off the whole time the cop was pulling the u turn and like the whole time we were driving down the road.
Why you ask were we laughing so hard at this, well about a year or so ago, they raised the fines from something low for passing on the right to a 300 dollar fine. Also, a word to the wise for anyone traving in Corrales, never ever speed, or for that matter do anything wrong when driving. Our (in Corrales) fees I would say are some of the highest, if not the highest in the state. So, ya, I never ever speed anywhere in the village, and more then likely will do under the speed limit.
So, also, I have seen more cops out on the road this weekend then I have seen in a long time, and its a good thing. Granted, I know is cus 9/10th of the USA are on Holiday, but still. I think we should have this type of police presence all the time.
You also know that the radio station you listen to is doing a 80's marathon when the list of songs they have played is this:
* Dead or Alive - You Spin Me 'Round
* Men at work - Down Under
* The Cure - Love Song
* Bruce Hornsby & The Range - The Way It Is
* Duran Duran - Hungry Like The Wolf
* After the fire - Der Kommissar
* Tom Petty - Running' Down A Dream
* Midnight Oil - Beds Are Burning
* Eurythmics - Would I Lie to You?
* Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls
That and when their little promo / lead-in thing is: More 80's then you can shake your High Hair and Parachute Pants at your Rubix Cubes. The Tainted 80's all weekend long on 1003 The Peak.
LOL I love 100.3 KPEK - The Peak
Well, I really should goto bed at some point.
Peace,
Kevin
