You Have Found Good Company - Enjoy

You Have Found Good Company - Enjoy. That was the message in my fortune cookie a week or two back when I went to Panda Express for lunch one day. How little did I know at the time that this fortune would ring true in many different ways in my life.

Today at work I had my annual performance review, and not only did I get another 5% raise (second one this year), which I might add is above the industry standard; I also got a rather large performance based bonus, which was double what I got last year. In addition to that, my boss had nothing but praise for me, noting my expectable improvements over last year (not that the year before was crap or anything).

February will my mark my third anniversary working for CAC. I can not believe that it has been that long already. Heck, it feels like just yesterday I was starting here. I should also note that as of last month, this has been the longest I have ever worked for a company in my life, and I must say that I still enjoy it today, as I did when I started. I feel that this is very true that I have found a good company and I do very much enjoy it!

Also, in the past month or so, I have connected with an old friend from high school and in the process, made a bunch of new friends. I have enjoyed connecting with my old friend and very much enjoyed all the new friends that I have made in the process. Again, I have found good company, and I do enjoy them.

As Christmas approaches, I have been reflecting back on how blest I am to have the family that I do, and that I am blest to have the job I have, and I am blest to have the friends that I do. I sometimes get too wrapped up in life to be thankful that I have been blest in these ways, and that there are others out there who have not.
