So it's been snowing off and on here in Albuquerque for about the past 24 hours. Nothing really big, just a bunch of light snow with no major accumulation. Now out of the metro area is a whole other story.

So this is the first snow storm of the season, which I also hope is not the last. Mind you, I do not want anything like last years winter where we had about 7 or 8 snow storms, with about 6 back to back. Also, do not forget the storm that started back on Christmas last year and snowed for like 3 days straight. I forget off the top of my head how much snow Albuquerque got, but it was something like 20 inches.

I must say that I am now so much more in the holiday mood then I was back earlier this week when it was like 60 to 70 degs outside. For me, it’s been really hard to even think that it’s was getting close to Thanksgiving, let alone Christmas time when it was still warm and nice outside.

So as we put another thanksgiving in the bag and start to look forward to Christmas, I am thankful for the weather and the fact that we got some much needed moisture out of this storm, and that the snow along with the cold temps have helped slow the growth of the forest fire in the Manzano Mountains.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know that I did.
