24 and we are not talking about the show....

So I turned 24 today. First off, let me thank the many well wishes of a happy birthday that I have gotten on facebook, aim, LJ, text & e-mail. I have tried to respond to all of them, but if I have forgotten yours, I am very sorry.

I know that I say this ever year, but 24 makes me feel so much older then 23. I know really, I am just a day older then before, but it’s the difference of that one year that makes me feel old. It might just be that it means I am only one year vs two from being 25, idk really. It may just all be in my head too.

My sister sent me a text message asking me how I feel that I was born on such a historic day. What she is talking about is that back on this day in 1963 Martin Luther King, Jr. gives his "I Have a Dream" speech and now tonight Obama is accepting his nomination for the democratic candidate. Really, I do not feel any different for it, but I guess it’s kinda cool too. Anyway, so that got me thinking of things that happened on this day in history. Some are really kinda cool too. You can go over to Wikipeida to take a look.
