Land of the free and home of the supid?

There are days that I think I live in the Land of the Free and Home of the Stupid, not "Land of the Free and Home of the Brave". I say this cus driving home felt more like a demolition derby and not street driving. LOL. Really its quite scary how stupid america is becoming. Somedays it really does scare me.

For example on my home tonight from my parents house, I watched a family of 3 try to j-walk across a six lane road in the dark. What is really is when they got half way, there little girl continued to keep walking, and almost walked right out in front of my car. Her parents grabbed her to stop her from stepping out in the street right as I locked up my breaks thinking I was going to hit a little kid. That freaking scared the shit out of me, and probably took a few years off my life. What really makes me mad, is that there are 2 traffic light's less then a quarter of a half mile from where they j-walked.

Then as if that was not enough, I was on the Paseo del Autobahn, um, I mean Paseo del Norte, and I think they were trying to play bumper cars or something, cus everyone was following way to close to each other. I mean we were topping out at 70-mph (which mind you is 10 over the limit), and people were only like maybe 2 or 3 car lengths behind each other. Way to freaking close for me, thats for sure. In addition to everyone driving way to freaking close, everyone was jockeying for position by doing as many lane changes as they could.

As much as I love Albuquerque, I think anytime spent here will show you that not only do we live in the "Land of the Free and Home of the Brave", but we also live in the Land of the Free and Home of the Stupid. I say Brave, cus you too have to be brave to drive in this freaking city.
