The 40 day flood...

Ok, maybe not quite that bad, but close. At last count I think 16 of 33 counties had presidential disaster declaration request filed with the federal goverment. Also it has rained somewhere in the state for the last 40 days and 40 nights. Far be it from me to quote the bible, but I think there was something about rain for 40 days and nights in the bible.

Part of me things I should start grabbing 2 of everything and heading for the hills, cus I sure as hell have no clue how to build an ark. Also my feet to cubit conversion is a little rusty, and I can not even remember which wood, or how much. I just know it needs to be in cubit's. LOL.

So this got me thinking, cus just back in June, they were screaming at us that we were in a drought, and how bad it was and blah blah blah. So I got to looking over at the National Weather Services website and found these really cool graphics of the state and how bad the drought is.

The image on the left is from June is well before we got all this rain, and the image on the right is from August after the current amount of rain that we have gotten. By the way, in that two months we have gotten like 8 or 10 inches of rain, which is about how much we normaly get for the whole year.
