OMG, I can not beleave he said that...

So up late watching some TV, when I catch a rebroadcast of "KRQE News 13 at 10", I come in right at the story about the Oregon man who survived 12 nails to the head. It was a failed suicide attempt when he was high on meth.

Anyway right after the story, they went into weather with Mike Hernandez, and before he starts to talk about the weather, he decides he is going to comment about the last story. So with a very big shit-eating grin on his face, like he is about to tell the best joke in the world, he says and I quote "The reason he survived was that there was nothing in there in the first place. The guy was an idiot. Alright...". Then he jumps into the weather like he said nothing.

I was in shock. I could not believe he had just said that on what was a live news cast. I mean, yes the guy might have been very stupid for trying to use a nail-gun to kill him self, but you are not suppose to say shit like that on TV, when you work for a news outlet. I mean some stories its ok to make comments about, or joke with fellow newscasters about on-air, but not this story, and not the comment he made. What little respect I had for the guy has just gone out the door now. Also, I could stand the first part, but the whole "The guy was an idiot" has no place on the TV news, and defiantly not from a weather caster.

I really think I might be writing KRQE 13 & the FCC a letter cus I feel those comments were totally not called for, and really it did shock me. I feel I also say that it takes a lot to shock me like this did. Ok, maybe I am a little out of my mind, but if anyone wants to see this, I have it saved on my DVR. Also I am now going to look for a way to pull that footage off the DVR and get it into my computer. If not the video, then I will get the audio onto the computer.

Well, that is it for now, I think its time to get my happy little butt in bed...
