Last night I did buy a coffee maker cus I had been thinking about buying one for a long time. Plus, the features were what I wanted, and it was in my price range. I also wondered if I would really wake up to the smell of coffee and it did work. I set the coffee maker to start 5 min before my first alarm was set to go off. So right on schedule around 5:55am I woke up feeling refreshed at the time. Why I was feeling refreshed at the time, I have no clue as I normally wake up feeling all groggy and shit. Maybe it was the smell of the coffee, or just the fact that I had not been woken up by loud noises, but it was nice no less.
So shut my alarms off, got out of bed and got a cup of coffee. So after I grabbed my coffee, I went back to my bed and turned on the TV to watch the news, and boy was I glad that I did that. To clue you all in on why I was getting up so damn early, I had to go out to the East Mt. again to fix some problems our out going VP of sales with his Palm E2. So the only time we could do it was early today (7:30 / 8am). So turned on the news to see that Eastbound I-40 was closed from Wyoming to Eubank due to a really nasty accident, which is normally right where I would have been going.
So as I nursed my coffee, I made a mental note to take Paseo Del Norte to Tramway and go to I-40 that way. So half a cup of coffee later I started drawing my bath water (I am still taking baths due to my ankle). So I refreshed my coffee and got in the tub. So after cleaning my self (I sound like a cat), I got dressed and headed out of the apartment. So I got to Paseo & Tramway and I remembered that I needed gas and that I had planned on stopping at Sams Club in Renaissance Center on my way out. But since I had to change my route due to the interstate being closed I was not able to do that.
So I stopped off at a Philips 66 station and what I want to know is when the fuck did the price of gas go back up to 2.50 per gal? I was like, holy shit. I could not believe it was that high again. The last time I got gas was last week at Sams, and I only paid 2.14 per gal. Now I remember why I buy my gas at Costco or Sams only. LOL. That was a shock, so I only got about 2 gal, which got me to the VP's house and back.
Now I must say that I think I hit ever bloody red light on Tramway, which really sucked. Also I think people who do not or can not figure out how to use there damn accelerator should be shot! I mean, after a traffic light we would be half a mile past it, or almost a mile, and we would just be getting to 35mph or 40pmh on a road with a speed limit of 50mph. I mean come on people, it’s not that hard. The faster you want to go, the harder you press it! So anyway a trip that I can do in 25 to 30 mins, took me around 45 min to 1 hour. Stupid rush hour traffic. Ok, enough ranting for now.
So I finally got out to Bob's place around 8am, and took care of his issues. We chatted for a bit and then we headed for town. So now here I am ready to go back to bed and sleep and its only 11:15am. I have not even had lunch yet, so I can’t wait until I hit that food coma. LOL. Also, on my way back into town, the semi truck was still on its side, and the freeway only had 2 lanes open. So, the news said that the accident happened around 3am this morning, and I passed by it going the other direction around 10:30 this morning. So 7.5 hours later and they are still not finished with the cleanup yet. Damn. I know they are doing it the best and as fast as they can. I just hope they have it cleaned up for rush-hour this evening, otherwise that should be fun.
Well, time to get back to this thing I call work.
