You poor thing :)

And I thought this was going to be an easy week! LOL. Really, I am glad it happend to my work computer and not my personal computer, cus if this had been my personal computer, I would have lost all my data, beacuse I have been sucking at backing up at home.

But I think I will start again, and get in the grove, cus it would suck to loose all my data. I think I should be able to save all my data beacuse I went a picked up an new hard drive from CompUSA, cus I think the old one is taking a crap dive. But, I also picked up an Enclosure for the old drive, and I just connected it to the server and its running disk diag's right now. So I hope I can save it.

Anyway, now that I have been long winded about this comment, to your simple 3 word comment, I shall shutup.

You're allowed to be long-winded... you're having a rough day, it seems.

And it totally reminded me that I need to back up my own system. I'll just die if I lose some of the stuff I have on my hard drive.

Rough day.....You could say that.
Long day......You could say that.

Ya, bad day for me. I have 10 hours in today, and I got in the office at 2pm. LOL. Maybe it be time for me to A) go get dinner, and B) go home.

I have most of the stuff on the computer simi-back to normal. But getting all my files back is going to be some fun.

I still have a few tricks to try, and I hope and pry they work. Cus I do not want to have to recreate my Outlook PST file, plus, all the e-mail I am going to loose.

O well, such is life I guess.

Yes, you totaly should back up your system. Let me be the poster child for backing up your computers.

I will prob make a whole post on it soon, cus ya, its something everyone should do, but almost no one does, even in the IT field.

My 6th-8th grade 'Technology' teacher once told us that the blue screen of death was a beautiful thing, because it symbolized its passing on.

Personally, I would just be pissed.

Bullshit the "Blue Screen of Death" is a beautiful thing. LOL Really it does not symbolize passing on, cus if I really wanted to invest the time, I could recover from this. I just do not feel like doing that much work when I am going to replace the drive anyway.

And really, I am not pissed cus most of the really important stuff is backed up to my personal drive on the server. I do have some stuff on that disk that I would like to save. Let me tell you by god, that I am going to do everything in my power to save that data.

So far out of the 3 or 4 hard drives that have gone south around the office over the past year, I have saved the data on all of them. Well, there was the one time the server craped out, and took 3 of the 4 drives with it, in that case, cus its RAID, I could not save the data, but we had backups anyway.

Damn, here I go being very long winded for a really simple comment. I am going to shutup now.

BTW, remind me one of these days, I need to tell you over AIM about a really werid dream I had Saturday Night that involvoed you. It was really really werid.

I think its the last time I drink beer, watch Law and Order, and use LJ right before bed. LOL.

PS> Icon has nothing to do with dream, its just one that I almost never use, and I do not know why.
