I’m awake cus my acid reflux is giving me hell when I hear a helicopter
buzz the house. So I flip open FlightAware ✈️ to see what / who it is. And
it was a medical chopper. Then I notice another helicopter has just taken
off from UNMH. Another just left Gallup, NM (also a medical chopper). A
helicopter is bound from Window Rock, AZ to Albuquerque, also medical. A
fixed wing plane is heading to Gallup. That was “LifeGuard”. . That’s when
I realize that almost all aviation traffic in New Mexico at this moment is
medical related! Now I have no clue if this is all Covid related or not.
It’s really hard to say, especially as I’m generally not in the habit of
looking at air traffic in the middle of the night & there plenty of valid
reasons medical aircraft would be operating at this hour besides Covid
transportation. But it still makes my mind wonder...
