After cleaning off and on (mostly on) for the past two hours or so, my office is now clean. Shall see how long this lasts.

This is my office in need of some freaking major cleaning. I shall post a picture of it after I am done with said cleaning.

So I cleaned my apartment today, or I should say I was cleaning my apartment today. It is not 100% done yet, but more I would say its 3/4 or 75% (for you non math people) done. I must say that my apartment lookes much bigger now that its mostly clean. I spent 3 to 4 hours today and got the dinning room, living room, and bath room clean. My kitchen is clean cus well, ya it just is. LOL. I know that sounds like a lot of time for the amount of space I cleaned, but it was really freaking messy.
I figure I should explane why it got so bad and not let you think I am that big of a slob. I think the last time my apartment got this good of a cleaning, and not a move pile A to pile B type cleaning was before the new year, and maybe before thanksgiving. But what can I say, I have been uber busy and have not had any free time (well, time I could clean as I think I never truly have free time).
So Christmas came and went and things were a mess cus I had to get my tree out and decorated. I put out side decorarations on my apartment, I wraped pressents and such. Well, right after finals last semester, I had to goto Phoenix for a day. Well, I must say that started things off, and I really have been just super busy ever since.
Anyway, up until the weekend of the Middle School Youth Gathering in the Springs, It was mostly clean, was mainly just piles of stuff on tables and such. Well since I was so busy getting done with the first week of classes and such, I did not have that much time to pack for the gathering. So, in my mad rush of running around my apartment some piles got nocked over.
So when I got back from the gathering, I like the next day started house sitting for some friends and was back at school. Not to mention I was tired as all hell. Plus I was doing some outside work for some other friends that week as well. I mean, I never really even unpacked from the gathering.
So Febuary comes and goes and I was as busy as crap with school, work, and the such. So fast forward to Febuary 26, when I screwed my ankle up. Now you want to talk about God smitting me for not cleaning earlyer (ok, I really do not think he was smitting me, but you never know) I had planed on using that evening to do my laundry and clean my apartment up. Well needless to say, that did not happen. In fact I think things have only gotten worse from there since I was on crtuches.
I was on crutches for almost 2 weeks, and when ever something would fall on the ground, so long as it was not in my walking path, I did not care about it. So I have now been off the crutches for a little over a week now. So I finaly felt like getting down and cleaning my apartment. I mean it was so bad that I did not want my own mother to see it, and she saw my room as a child. I think I even made a reference that it looked like an atomic bomb had gone off in there. LOL
Also, I had to clean it this weekend cus I am houseing two high school youth Thursday night. They are on Concert Choir Tour from Oak Grove Lutheran School in Fargo, ND.
So that brings me to my plug for this blog. From what I hear the Oak Grove Lutheran School has a great Concert Choir and this would not be something to miss. If you happen to find your self free the night of Thursday March 23 and want something to do, well come over to All Saints Lutheran Church (4800 All Saints Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120) and hear some great Concert Choir. Normaly I would offer rides to who ever wanted, but I can not as after I have to take 2 of the chior people back to my apartment.

So with all that said I think it is now time for me to hit the hay. I have an early start in the morning, and we all know I need my sleep or I will a complete bitch. LOL.
Peace,
Kevin

Man, today has been busy so far. Jerry was up to my office because he needed to have some Autocad files converted to PDF's. Then Carl was also up to see about me getting a laptop configed with the Trane software, so we can control systems for some new clients we have. Also, I have setup a meeting time with Rick, our Verizon rep. Checked e-mail and answered a few.
Also, I have been trying to deal with the domain name for my church. I got an e-mail today from Suzan who is our secretary at church, and she said that she had been getting a "Renewal fail" e-mail once a day for a few days now. So, I WHOIS'ed our domain and sure as crap, it expried back on the 18th of June. So, now we are trying to find our username and password for the domain name, so that we can renew it. At issue is when this all was created, my sister was doing the website stuff. So, my guess is that she knows the username & password, or my hope is that she does not know the username or password, that she has that stuff in her files somewhere. So, its more just a matter of time before we get the info one way or another.
In other news, I am happy. I did some cleaning last night and for the most part got my place cleaned up. I was also able to sort thru my clothes that need to be washed, and get that crap all ready to go. So, now I am hoping tonight after Church Council, I can just go up to the laundry facilities at my apartment, and just use all 4 washers and dryers. It should be late so I don’t think it will be a problem. That right there is one reason why I do love living in an apartment complex. Being able to get all my clothes washed and dried (4 loads worth) in about 1.5 hours is really nice. Then it is just the task of folding and hanging clothing up, which is the part that I fail at the most. Half the time my clothing sits in the bags that I use to take it to the laundry facilities.
So as far as movies go, I am loving Netflix. In the past 30 days I have watched 8 movies. I could have watched more, but like the dolt I can be some days, I signed up for the 2 week free trial with the 1 at a time plan. If I had been thinking, I would have done the 3 a month for the trial. But its all good. I did change and go with the 3 at a time program since there is transit time. From here in Albuquerque, it takes about 3 days to get a movie, and about 2 or 3 days for them to receive a movie I have sent back. The closest Netflix sort facility is in Denver, so I expect a few days. It would be nice to have a Netflix sort facility here in Albuquerque, but my guess is we do not have the population base that is needed.
Also, sometime on Wednesday is when the new hardware will arrive to upgrade the old server. I have started moving the data off that server, and I am hoping that if my schedule this week permits, that I will have most of the leg work done on upgrading the server. Doing the hardware part should take the least amount of time, but should also be fun in its own right. What will take the most time is getting the OS installed, getting that all patched up, shoving SQL Server on it, getting Great Plains with Wennsoft installed, and getting working copy’s of the data going. I also need to see what it would take to do SQL Server Clustering, cus that would make it work seamless, which would be real nice.
So, that is the news from around here. I leave for Mexico in 5 days. How cool is that?
Peace,
Kevin
